5-Day Maui Girls Trip Itinerary (All on Points)

The Traveling Moore

Hey Reader,

I’m back from Maui and it was one of those trips that reminded me exactly why I love that island so much.

It was my friend’s first time in Maui, which made it even more special. There is something so fun about showing someone a place that means a lot to you and watching them fall in love with it in real time.

We built a 5-day itinerary that mixed adventure, relaxation, and good food. And yes, we booked every hotel on Hyatt points.

Here’s exactly what we did.

Days 1–2: Kaanapali

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui.

This part of the trip was all about easing in.

  • Beach day on Kaanapali
  • Long sunset walks along the boardwalk
  • A whale watching tour (which was incredible this time of year)

Day 3: Road to Hana + Overnight in Hana

We drove the Road to Hana and stayed one night at Hana Maui Resort.

Staying overnight in Hana makes all the difference. You’re not rushing the drive, and the entire experience feels slower and more immersive.

Waterfalls. Black sand beaches. Jungle scenery. That misty, magical East Maui vibe.

It’s one of my favorite parts of the island, and I loved watching my friend experience it for the first time, even though they got a bit car sick on the drive back.

Days 4–5: Wailea

We finished the trip with two nights at the Andaz Wailea!

Wailea is where we fully leaned into relaxed girls trip energy.

  • Pool time
  • Beach walks
  • Long dinners at neighboring resorts
  • Dressing up for nice meals

The perfect ending to a girl's trip to escape the Seattle winter slump.

The Traveling Moore Hey friend, With my birthday this week, I’ve been feeling extra reflective. This year feels a little different because it’s my last year in my 20s, and when I look back, so many of the moments that defined this decade for me are tied to travel. Not just where I went, but who I was with and what season of life I was in. Here are a few of the trips that really shaped my 20s. Bucket list trips I’ll never forget Visiting Antarctica and checking off my 7th continent Hiking to...

The Traveling Moore Hey Reader, I want to share something new I’ve been working on that you might not know about yet. I recently started a separate TikTok account called Lauren the Foodie. It’s a slightly different niche than the blog, but it actually fits really naturally with how I travel. When I’m on a trip, food is always a huge part of the experience. I’m constantly trying restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and random finds that don’t always make sense in a full blog post but are...

The Traveling Moore Hey Reader, I want to share something I started using recently that has completely changed how I shop for travel outfits. I realized I was stuck in the same cycle every time I planned a trip. I always felt like I needed at least one new outfit, sometimes more. I love fashion, but it started to feel expensive and unnecessary when so many pieces were only worn once and then forgotten in my closet. I still want something new and exciting for trips. That part of me is not...
