It’s not too late to book a June trip ☀️

The Traveling Moore

Hey Reader,

If you’re anything like me, once April hits, summer travel is all I can think about.

And if you haven’t booked anything yet… you are not too late for June.

Some of my favorite trips have come together just a couple months out, and June is actually one of those sweet spot months where you can get amazing weather without peak summer chaos—if you choose the right destination.

I just put together a full guide with my favorite places to travel in June, but I wanted to give you a few ideas here to get you inspired 👇

🌍 Europe Before the Crowds

June is one of my favorite times to visit Europe because you get that summer energy without the overwhelming July/August crowds.

Think: • Italy — warm weather, long dinners outside, and fewer tourists than peak summer • Greece — perfect beach weather before it gets really hot • France — ideal for everything from Paris to the French Riviera

It’s that window where everything feels alive, but still manageable.

🌴 Tropical Destinations

A lot of people write off tropical travel in June because of “rainy season,” but honestly—it’s often short showers, lower prices, and fewer crowds.

Some great options: • Hawaii — one of the best times to go for weather + manageable crowds • Belize — I went in August and got lucky with weather, but June is a safer sweet spot • Caribbean islands — just be mindful of hurricane season timing later in summer

🏞️ Adventure + Nature Destinations

If you’re craving something more active, June is perfect for destinations that are harder to visit in winter.

National Parks in the U.S. — everything is open and accessible • Switzerland — hiking, mountain views, and those bright green landscapes • Canada (Banff/Jasper) — peak scenery without the deep summer crowds

✨ Why June Is Actually Underrated

• Shoulder season pricing in many destinations (if you travel before school lets out)
• Longer days = more time to explore
• Better availability than July/August

I go into way more detail (and share more destination ideas) in this post:

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to book something… this is it.

And if you do end up booking something, reply and tell me where—I love hearing what you’re planning ✈️

Have a great week!

Lauren

Group of friend in front of the green river in Chicago

The Traveling Moore Hey Reader, A couple weeks ago I visited Chicago for the first time... over St Paddys! Spending St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago has always been on my bucket list, and it completely delivered. The energy, the traditions, the green river… it’s one of those experiences I truly think everyone should do at least once. That said… I also learned a few things the hard way 😅 🍀 The Weekend Recap We flew in late Thursday night and hit the ground running Friday morning. Friday was our...

The Traveling Moore Hey Reader, I’m back from Maui and it was one of those trips that reminded me exactly why I love that island so much. It was my friend’s first time in Maui, which made it even more special. There is something so fun about showing someone a place that means a lot to you and watching them fall in love with it in real time. We built a 5-day itinerary that mixed adventure, relaxation, and good food. And yes, we booked every hotel on Hyatt points. Here’s exactly what we did....

The Traveling Moore Hey friend, With my birthday this week, I’ve been feeling extra reflective. This year feels a little different because it’s my last year in my 20s, and when I look back, so many of the moments that defined this decade for me are tied to travel. Not just where I went, but who I was with and what season of life I was in. Here are a few of the trips that really shaped my 20s. Bucket list trips I’ll never forget Visiting Antarctica and checking off my 7th continent Hiking to...
